BLINGTOPIA

AN EVENT IDENTITY

BLINGTOPIA is a conceptual campaign I created inspired by the subculture of maximalist nail art. Through research into the community and the values of maximalist nail artists, I developed an immersive event identity that celebrates nail art as a form of individuality and self-expression. I also designed the event name, logo, and a cohesive visual identity using experimental typography. Using those assets, I applied it across promotional posters, merchandise, a lookbook, and a modular exhibition space designed to bring the world of BLINGTOPIA to life.

LOGO

I explored different typefaces and modifications to create a wordmark that would best represent this campaign. I ended up going with a clean sans serif typeface with sparkle motifs to balance out the experimental typography and maximalist imagery in my other applications.

DEVELOPMENT

POSTERS

I created two sets of a poster triptych that convey the bold, unapologetic attitude of the maximalist nail subculture. These triptychs function as both event identity posters that build awareness of the subculture, and also as content pieces that provide information on the pop up event.

LOOKBOOK

As an extension of the event identity, I designed a 40-page lookbook that captures the spirit of maximalism while offering a deeper exploration of the subculture. The lookbook combines layered 2D vector shapes and patterns with 3D elements and experimental typography to create a dynamic and expressive visual language that reflects the bold creativity of the community.
